Spox: Government mulling indexing fertilizer prices for farms

MOSCOW, May 5 (PRIME) -- The Russian government is discussing indexation of the fixed fertilizer prices for the farmers, a spokesperson for the Industry and Trade Ministry told PRIME on Thursday.

"The question of possible indexation of the mineral fertilizer prices on orders of the government of the Russian Federation is being discussed by the Industry and Trade Ministry of Russia, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, the Agriculture Ministry of Russia and the Economic Development Ministry of Russia," the official said.

The proposals will be announced in May, the spokesperson added. No proposals on a united railway tariff on mineral fertilizer transportation have arrived to the ministry, the official said.
